Dawson was the human priest who accepted Cub into the Church of Arun. Dawson is a wise man, with years of experience, and is the man who taught Cub how to use magic; the exception is that Cub uses a mystical scepter, Dawson uses a mystical staff. Much like Cub, Dawson is good friends with Ludwig (Ludwig and his platoon would frequently visit the Church of Arun, every now and then). He also helped Cub restrain the thugs who tried to get back at him for banning them from the church
